Rugby

We went to our first Rugby game a couple of weeks ago. It was a lot of fun. They do a lot of chants and yelling. Rugby is more interesting than American football. It doesn't have all the breaks that football does. Also, the guys don't wear all the padding that football players do. I was surprised, because there is a lot of contact between the players. Well, it was the first game of the season and it was an upper division game, so it was recorded for broadcasting. The great part was that the team we were rooting for, the Kingston Rovers, were just moved up from the lower league. So, it was their first game with a tougher team. The game started out with us ahead in the first 10 minutes. Then by half time the game was tied 8 to 8. During the second half, the other team scored one point, it was terrible. Then in the last four minutes the Rovers scored a try (they got a "touchdown") which is worth four points. Then they scored a goal (meaning they got to kick it and they made it). So we ended up winning 14 to 9. It was fabulous, the crowd went wild!
